The only way I could resolve the problem was to re-boot the computer. In doing so the phone is back 'Online'. This phone is the worst purchase I've ever made. None of these solutions worked for me. Try the Linksys Skype phone. See" Disconnected" message and hear the busy signal. Open Skype software on your machine. Log out. ("Sign Out") Log back in with your user name and password. Try again. The fix for us was the same.... turning off the handset by holding the "end" key and turning it back on. When it came back up it was online, showing the contacts of the currently logged in Skype account. The fix for us was the same…. turning off the handset by holding the “end” key and turning it back on. When it came back up it was online, showing the contacts of the currently logged in Skype account.
