None of these solutions worked for me. The only way I could resolve the problem was to re-boot the computer. In doing so the phone is back 'Online'. This phone is the worst purchase I've ever made.

Carl, thanks for the follow up, I hope it helps people out. I'm actually more excited now for a Skype phone that hosts the software itself, so I don't need to rely on the computer being on and wired to the phone.

Ok, I think I've got it. Try the Linksys Skype phone. See" Disconnected" message and hear the busy signal. Open Skype software on your machine. Log out. ("Sign Out") Log back in with your user name and password. Try again. It worked for me.

Yeah, this:

CIT200 1
Disconnected

message is a serious problem. This Linksys phone rarely works. Meanwhile, my Belkin phone picks up my signal, uses my network and ALWAYS works. I've tried rebooting the router, the computer, etc., unplugging the usb and the Linksys phone and nothing helps.

What is the deal with this phone?

Ben,

What a huge help this has been. I've spent hours trying to correct this problem as well. I've tried your solution and in 6 seconds the problem is gone.

Thank you,
ExAfrica

Our CIT200 went into Disconnect after signing out of our skype account and sigining onto another account via the PC Skype application.

The fix for us was the same.... turning off the handset by holding the "end" key and turning it back on. When it came back up it was online, showing the contacts of the currently logged in Skype account.

Great technology, but....
...another wound of from the bleading edge
