Scheduling Software Projects
Just had to point out this FANTASTIC article about realistically scheduling software projects by Christoper Hawkins. The problems that he mentions about scheduling, and about appeasing the client towards the end of the article are right on!

Not sure about being stupid for delivering on a friday. From a users’ perspective it’s the best day to deliver because they’re not very busy, so if (or when) stuff crashes, it’s less likely to interfere with the course of their business. You’ll also get less feedback on a Friday because people are more concerned about their weekend plans. And anything critical you find you can fix over the weekend and save yourself looking stupid.

I dont know, I never like shipping on a friday, personally. Because people arent too busy, as you say, they are less likely to really put the release through the motions, so when you come back on Monday thinking that everything is hunky dory, thats when the shit hits the fan, and that sucks for a monday.
